About The Position

Assists with adult clients enrolled in a day program with daily life, social and academic skills and/or behavior management training. Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents. Serves as role model and provides emotional support and feedback to client & their support system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six months social services experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with three years driving experience (per policy) to provide transportation and have a clean driving record with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior
• Ability to redirect behavioral outbursts
• Ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Ability to participate in supportive guidance.
• Must be proficient with computers.
• Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with developmentally delayed population preferred.
