We’re looking for a Client Success Manager (CSM) with a passion for learning, a kind heart, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor to join our growing team. The CSM will be charged with actively supporting the needs and requests of ClearGov’s civic and school district clients. The Client Success Manager will take ownership of ensuring that clients are maximizing the value they’re realizing from ClearGov, as well as driving renewals of annual subscriptions. The CSM will be a key player on an incredible team as we execute our mission to help local governments take the next step from good to great.

Requirements

  • A background in finance or accounting (1+ year of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance)
  • 3–5 years of experience in Customer Success, Customer Service, or a client-facing role where you managed relationships and outcomes
  • A proven track record of building trusted client partnerships and driving engagement, adoption, and satisfaction
  • Experience managing a portfolio of 100–125 clients across different sizes, products, and renewal cycles
  • Comfort mastering multiple SaaS platforms and translating product value into real business outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand client challenges, troubleshoot issues, and advocate for solutions
  • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance short-term priorities and long-term strategic initiatives
  • Experience using tools like Google Workspace, ChurnZero, and Salesforce (or similar platforms)

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage a portfolio of ~125 municipal clients, driving continuous value, retention, and long-term success
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on best practices across the Budget Cycle Management suite, ensuring clients maximize product impact
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in municipal finance, staying current on regulatory requirements across assigned states
  • Build and maintain strong client partnerships through high engagement, proactive communication, and product adoption strategies
  • Lead annual account planning and performance reviews to align on goals, outcomes, and expansion opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally with ClearGov teams to resolve client needs and deliver seamless support
  • Drive subscription renewals and identify cross-sell opportunities in collaboration with the Sales team
  • Develop client success stories, including references, testimonials, and case studies to support marketing and sales efforts
  • Maintain accurate internal records, logging communications and updating client data to ensure visibility and continuity
