The Client Services Technician provides operational and technical support for boat registration, titling, and seasonal licensing, as well as watercraft dealer licensing programs. This role ensures that boats are registered and titled, watercraft dealers, salesmen, and demonstrators are licensed, and that boating records are properly maintained. The technician also protects lender's securities and ensures the proper issuance of hunting and fishing licenses. Additionally, the technician provides accurate information on hunting, fishing, and various DWR programs/events, ensuring that customers are served and revenues are generated.

  • Provide operational and technical support for boat registration, titling, and seasonal licensing.

  • Proficiency in standard English grammar, punctuation, and usage.
  • Basic bookkeeping principles.
  • Skill to operate automated office equipment and perform basic keyboarding.
  • Ability to perform detailed work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to balance and reconcile a cash drawer.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetical computations with accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze documents to reach legal conclusions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with courses in office practices.
  • One year of experience as a Boating Services Technician or relevant experience.
  • Completion of a Hunter Education and Boating Safety Education course within the first year of employment.
