About The Position

Novick Corporation We are a service-oriented food distribution company located in South Philadelphia that specializes in childcare nutrition. We care about our clients, the communities we serve, and most importantly, our staff. Members of the team are USDA and CACFP specialists, and work with our childcare partners to provide healthier food options. Because we specialize in childcare, we have a full range of offerings, including food, cleaning, and paper supplies. Our ancillary services allow us to partner with our clients to help fulfill each individual program’s goals for the health of their children. Services include menu planning with our nutritionists, nutritional training, portioning and serving guidelines, Serve Safe, inventory and cost control assistance, access to healthier child-friendly products and recipes, and more.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills: The CSG Support Team Member needs to speak with internal and external clients to understand their needs/wants. They will also need to be able to communicate these needs to the rest of the Client Services and Support, Connections, OPS, and Management Teams to ensure that all the client’s needs are met. The ability to communicate and document is paramount to this position as the CSG Support Team Member will work hand in hand with the CSG Supervisor and Business Development to resolve client complaints, meet client’s needs, and document accordingly in Salesforce.
  • Time Management and Organizational Skills: The CSG Support Team Member will need to be organized and efficient with time as the CSG Support Team Member will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks within short periods of time.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The CSG Support Team Member must be able to think critically about problems presented by clients, resources we have available, and offer solutions within the parameters laid out by the CSS Supervisor.
  • Experience and Knowledge of: Organic Growth to upsell products, understanding pack-sizes; taste of products; CACFP regulations; CACFP meal patterns and portioning; how to read CN labels; how to read Nutrition labels; knowledge of product formulation sheets
  • Various computer systems and programs including but not limited to the following: Eagle, E-Foods, Raven, CRM, Windows, Excel, and Word
  • Must be familiar with how to operate the following equipment: Computer (laptop, desktop); Telephone (multiline land line, cell phone); Fax, Copier, Printer, Scanner
  • Our support team members must have a high school diploma or GED, previous office environment experience and exceptional computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in childcare, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), food distribution, and/or fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Client communication via phone and email is our #1 priority. Quick response, professional, empathic, and courteous to ensure excellent customer service experience.
  • Order submission & adjustments on calls, emails, faxes, system uploads, same-day deliveries, client pick-ups and more. Including monitoring and tracking orders daily.
  • Supporting clients with a variety of issues that may arise; anything from delivery, products, orders, system troubleshooting, to name a few.
  • Resolving all client issues.
  • Providing client support regarding products, pack size, suggestions, menu ideas, special product requests, reporting product issues and/or questions daily.
  • Running and analyzing daily reporting that are time sensitive (For Product Shortages, Orders, & Order Status Confirmations).
  • Communication reporting delivery delays, route alerts, delivery day adjustments or changes, missing products, etc. This includes consistent communication with Drivers/ Operations Team.
