Requirements

  • 6+ years of legal secretarial experience with a strong litigation background (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with document management systems
  • Knowledge of court filing procedures, legal billing, and timekeeping processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a professional services environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and client service support to litigation attorneys and clients
  • Maintain an in-office presence to foster collaboration, communication, and responsive client service
  • Coordinate legal and administrative projects, including document preparation, court filings, client presentations, billing, and matter management
  • Prepare, proofread, and format complex legal documents, filings, and correspondence
  • Manage materials within the firm’s document management system
  • Support the client billing process, including reviewing bills, managing time entries, processing expenses, and ensuring billing accuracy
  • Collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and Practice Support teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of work
  • Organize attorney schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Maintain client and case materials with discretion, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and teamwork while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
