About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Professional to join our team. We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering exceptional care, who has open availability and is eager to work. A Client Service Representative performs a wide range of administrative activities related to quality patient care and excellent client service, management of client finances and accounting, The applicant must be a reliable self-starter, motivated by a challenging, fast-paced environment. Strong candidates will have veterinary experience, a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor towards both animals and people, will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and can demonstrate the importance and understanding of high quality customer service. The schedule for this position will be based on the needs of the business which will include days, evenings, and Saturday's. We are currently open Monday- Thursday 9a-7p, Friday’s 9a-5p and Saturday’s 8a-2p The information in this position description indicates the general nature and level of work to be performed. Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of client service and communication center operations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong client relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to expert computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Strong client service background.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the veterinary field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
