About The Position

As an associate at Banfield, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital. Your responsibilities will include encouraging hospital visits, welcoming clients and pets, ensuring their comfort, and educating them about their pet's health. You will assist incoming clients by completing required documentation, entering pet information and history into the computer, and ensuring prompt service. Additionally, you will manage finances, conduct administrative functions, and provide excellent client service while adhering to the values and ethics of Banfield Pet Hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital.
  • Encourage hospital visits and welcome clients and pets, ensuring their comfort.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
  • Assist incoming clients by completing required documentation and entering pet information and history.
  • Ensure prompt service and proper identification for pets.
  • Assist outgoing clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices.
  • Dispense prescription items per the veterinarian's instructions and sell retail products.
  • Schedule future appointments for clients.
  • Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
