Client Service Administrator, Institutional Custody
About The Position
The Institutional Custody team at UMB provides custody services to large global and domestic institutional clients. UMB entered this space to meet a need from existing and potential clients, allowing them to offer full-service solutions to customers who also utilize Trust, Fund Services, and other groups. The team is expanding, and the Client Service Administrator role is crucial, supporting all large institutional custody clients. This administrative position serves as the backbone of the team, responsible for daily client interaction and acting as the primary contact for UMB. The administrator helps understand client needs and drives client strategies. This role offers opportunities for growth, including handling more complex tasks and clients, assisting management, and training others. The Institutional Custody Administration team is described as fun, challenging, fast-paced, and collaborative, emphasizing teamwork and shared knowledge to meet deadlines and ensure success. The team fosters a welcoming and positive environment where teammates support each other's growth.
Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) year prior experience working in Financial Services (or equivalent experience) in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Field client inquiries and serve as the primary contact for assigned custody clients to process any requests and provide the highest level of customer service.
- Use Excel for tracking and reporting purposes and use Custody processing systems to enter wire transactions, trades, and other money movements.
- Partner with internal teams to drive client strategies and ensure client requests are satisfied.
