About The Position

Responsible for dissemination and support of client and facility safety programs through data tracking, compliance support, risk analysis, and preparedness activities. This role executes defined safety processes and contributes to training, reporting, and ongoing improvement of safety practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Public Health, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Proof of vehicle insurance is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in conducting root cause analyses preferred
  • Familiarity with mandated reporting requirements preferred
  • Knowledge of ABA is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety training records and ensure staff are current with required certifications
  • Complete and disseminate OSHA and other environmental/safety trainings
  • Develop and distribute educational materials related to client and facility safety
  • Support incident reporting processes for client and facility related events
  • Support timely and accurate reporting to appropriate internal and external agencies, including but not limited to CPS, ORR, BACB, LARA, etc.
  • Complete post-hoc review of incident reports and reported external incidents to review for trends and identify root causes, as needed and applicable
  • Track implementation of corrective actions and review effectiveness pertaining to safety related initiatives
  • Promote compliance pertaining to safety related initiatives with local, state, and federal safety regulations throughout the setting and interactions
  • Assist with policy and procedural updates as needed for compliance
  • Coordinate with leadership, clinical staff, facilities, and human resources to ensure a unified safety strategies across the organization
  • Communicate with external agencies as needed to provide supporting information and/or documentation in a timely manner
  • Fosters an overall cultural prompting safety and compliance across the organization
  • Participates in and co-hosts a joint staff and family advisory board to acquire pertinent information on safety related measures and facilitates necessary adjustments based on feedback received while maintaining industry best practices
  • Maintenance of HIPAA privacy, as well as client and staff confidentiality
