About The Position

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will support Stop Loss Sales Managers in both the pre and post-sale environments. You'll provide direct support for all pre-sale components (with organizing, screening, and tracking pre-sale RFP process for both new and renewal business) during the quote process. We'll trust you to be a dependable 'go to' resource during busy periods as well as when the Sales Managers are traveling for business. You'll also manage all client and third party administrator relationships for assigned case activity in order to maximize growth and retention of Stop Loss business in accordance with our plan. You'll play a key role as a liaison between all clients, vendors, and internal staff to ensure excellent quality of service.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years group insurance or reinsurance experience.
  • Customer focused, pro-active mindset; excellent organizational, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Day-to-day client management experience.
  • Strong consulting and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with brokers, clients, and service vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with a strong ability to learn and understand ways to organize high activity.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, ability to prioritize, and sense of urgency with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrate a teamwork mindset and commitment to account results.
  • Experienced knowledge with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; presentation skills highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10-15%.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with management and staff to further the company's mission.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Previous Client Relationship Manager experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Employer Stop Loss business preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of stop loss activities for both new business and renewal including but not limited to following up on all outstanding requirements for policy issuance.
  • Schedule and conduct on-boarding calls when necessary.
  • Set-up account information in company database.
  • Onboard new and renewal policies by preparing and distributing all policy documents and acknowledgement letters.
  • Coordinate Producer's Request for Information documents with all applicable functional areas within the company and provide timely responses.
  • Oversee the distribution of implementation material to brokers for transmittal to policyholder for both new business and renewal.
  • Manage client relationships by timely and efficiently responding to customer's inquiries regarding claim payment, premium payments, commissions and questions pertaining to policy provisions.
  • Review paid premium reporting for change in covered lives, enrollment.
  • Review commission payment summaries and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Strengthen and enhance client, TPA and Producer relationships.
  • Provide sales support to sales manager during peak times and during travel periods.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports to both sales managers and producers upon request.
