About The Position

At U.S. Bank, Client Relationship Consultants are tasked with building and fostering strong relationships with customers. This involves engaging clients through various channels, including in-person, by appointment, and virtually, while maintaining a digital-first mindset. Consultants provide financial counsel, assess banking needs, process customer and account information, and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services. They are expected to recommend solutions tailored to each customer's unique goals. The role also includes proactive outreach, maintaining knowledge of consumer and business banking products (including digital services), ensuring an optimal client experience, collaborating with branch team members, opening new accounts, completing service requests, submitting credit applications, and educating clients on self-service digital tools. This position requires NMLS registration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one to two years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training (for Client Relationship Consultant 1)
  • Minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training (for Client Relationship Consultant 2)
  • Bilingual ability to read, write, and speak in business-level proficiency of Spanish language and English
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies

Responsibilities

  • Builds and fosters relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up, asking questions and learning about their financial needs, and banking channel preferences.
  • Identifies solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with clients.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services including digital products and services.
  • Provides a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develops collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Opens new consumer and business accounts, completes service requests and submits credit applications.
  • Proactively educates clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs.
  • Leverages available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
