About The Position

The Client Relationship Consultant 4 (Banker) at U.S. Bank is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through various channels, including in-person and virtual interactions. This role focuses on understanding and addressing clients' banking needs, providing tailored financial advice, and promoting the bank's products and services. The consultant will engage in proactive outreach, educate clients on digital banking solutions, and collaborate with branch team members to enhance the overall client experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically has five or more years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and training.
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions.
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer's needs both reactively and proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Engage with customers via multiple channels to assess their banking needs.
  • Obtain and process customer and account information accurately.
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services.
  • Recommend solutions based on each customer's unique goals and needs.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts and complete service requests.
  • Submit credit applications and process basic transactions.
  • Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience.
