About The Position

Client Relationship Consultants at U.S. Bank are responsible for building and fostering strong relationships with customers, engaging them through various channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually. The role focuses on providing optimal counsel with a digital-first mindset, assessing and addressing customers' banking needs, and processing account information. Consultants are expected to demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services, recommending solutions tailored to each customer’s unique financial goals. This position is integral to helping customers and businesses make better financial decisions and enabling communities to grow.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Ability to obtain and maintain National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
  • Ability to pass the required NMLS registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check.
  • Ability to meet and maintain NMLS registration requirements, including a satisfactory criminal and credit record.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up, asking questions and learning about their financial needs, and banking channel preferences.
  • Identify solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with clients.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services including digital products and services.
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests and submit credit applications.
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
