About The Position

Client Relationship Consultants at U.S. Bank build and foster relationships with customers, engaging them through various channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually, while maintaining a digital-first mindset. The role involves providing counsel, assessing and addressing banking needs, processing customer and account information, and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services. Consultants are expected to recommend solutions tailored to each customer's unique financial goals. This position requires proactive outreach, effective communication, and a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings. Consultants provide an optimal client experience, handle basic transactions, collaborate with branch team members, open new accounts, complete service requests, submit credit applications, and educate clients on self-service digital tools. They leverage resources and technologies to ensure operational excellence and accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Subject to the required NMLS registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check
  • Ability to meet or maintain NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
  • Ask questions and learn about clients’ financial needs and banking channel preferences
  • Identify solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with clients
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services including digital products and services
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests and submit credit applications
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy
