About The Position

Client Relationship Consultants at U.S. Bank are responsible for building and fostering relationships with customers through various channels, including in-person, by appointment, and virtually. The role emphasizes a digital-first mindset, providing counsel, assessing banking needs, and processing customer and account information. Consultants demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services, recommending solutions tailored to each customer's unique goals. This position involves proactive outreach, maintaining knowledge of consumer and business banking products (including digital services), ensuring an optimal client experience, collaborating with branch team members, opening new accounts, completing service requests, submitting credit applications, and educating clients on self-service digital tools. NMLS registration is a mandatory requirement, involving criminal background and credit checks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Ability to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up.
  • Ask questions and learn about clients' financial needs and banking channel preferences.
  • Identify solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with clients.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services including digital products and services.
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests and submit credit applications.
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
  • Comply with National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record.
