About The Position

At U.S. Bank, Client Relationship Consultants are responsible for building and fostering relationships with customers through proactive outreach and follow-up, engaging them via multiple channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually. The role focuses on providing counsel, adapting a digital-first mindset, and assisting customers with their banking needs. This involves obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions tailored to each customer’s unique goals. Consultants maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings, to ensure an optimal client experience. They also develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners, open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications. A key aspect is proactively educating clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services and leveraging available resources and technologies for operational excellence and accuracy. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration, which includes a criminal background and credit check.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z (subject to required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check).

  • Provides a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develops collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Opens new consumer and business accounts, completes service requests and submits credit applications.
  • Proactively educates clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs.
  • Leverages available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
