About The Position

We are seeking a Client Relations Associate to join our team! The Client Relations Associate works as a team with a Client Manager to provide ongoing service and support for Delta Dental of Washington customers and producers. In this role you'll manage internal renewal processes, support special projects, participate in client service calls, represent Delta Dental at meetings and benefit fairs, and troubleshoot and resolve inquiries from customers and producers. The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $60,435 - $84,533, and for Eastern Washington varies between $56,145 - $78,532. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza Corp. intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

Requirements

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to a range of audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using reporting and database tools, including Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines, and a strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to build strong relationship with clients and producers.
  • Experience working within Sales or Operations in the dental/health insurance industry
  • Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner Health and Disability License is required within the first 90 days of employment
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working with limited supervision.
  • Associate Degree from a College or University, and two years related experience or a High school Diploma or equivalent with 4 years related experience training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Proactively service accounts and determine customer satisfaction levels with DDWA.
  • Resolve service issues with little or no supervision; keeping the Client Manager informed.
  • Work with the Client Manager to determine the level of face-to-face and phone contact needed for each assigned account and initiate service calls for designated accounts.
  • Maintain status on all current projects, ensure timely and accurate completion, and identify opportunities to streamline or improve processes.
  • Research technical and benefit questions for assigned accounts, co-design processes and workflows to meet customer needs, and generate and share reports with clients as requested.
  • Implement internal renewal processes across Delta Dental once renewals are completed, and update plan designs, contacts, benefits, and related information within required turnaround timeframes.
  • Attend benefit fairs to represent Delta Dental and conduct employee enrollment meetings and presentations for customers or brokers.
  • Coordinate receipt of benefit, claims, contract, or booklet changes from the producer or group, work with the appropriate teams to resolve requests, and respond directly to the group or producer.
  • Maintain group data related to contacts, activities, and changes in Salesforce.
  • Assist Client Manager with Request for Proposals.
  • Backup Client Manager when out of the office with renewals and producer requests.
  • Maintain and send out quarterly and/or annual Performance Guarantee reports to producers and groups.
  • Coordinate and assist with group and regulatory agency audits.
