About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Client Project Manager to join our Advanced Energy & Manufacturing Team at a client site in Bessemer City, NC. In this role, you'll be a trusted partner to our clients, working directly at their sites to ensure projects are planned, executed, and delivered with excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience required; minimum of 5 years of project management experience required
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents
  • Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, cash management)
  • Strong understanding of client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style for various audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other management software; knowledge of Deltek Vision, MS Project, and/or Primavera P6 preferred
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel as needed required

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other management software; knowledge of Deltek Vision, MS Project, and/or Primavera P6 preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client and engineering teams, streamlining communication and clarifying expectations
  • Support all phases of the project lifecycle, from scope development and budgeting through procurement, construction oversight, and project closeout
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure alignment with design intent, quality standards, schedule milestones, and budget goals
  • Manage contracts, subcontractors, purchase orders, and all related documentation
  • Monitor project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
  • Collaborate with client health and safety teams to develop and monitor project-specific safety plans
  • Ensure QA/QC standards are met in accordance with the Quality Management Plan
  • Provide clear and timely updates to client leadership, anticipate needs, and support decision-making
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with client teams to understand priorities and deliver practical solutions
