Team & Role Overview The Global Business Development team provides accurate, insightful investment data and analysis that supports product positioning, marketing, and sales across Putnam Equity strategies. The team works closely with Client Portfolio Managers, investment teams, RFP Teams, sales, marketing, operations, and compliance to deliver high‑quality analytics, reporting tools, and marketing materials in a highly collaborative, compliance‑focused environment. Position Overview The Client Portfolio Specialist is a key member of the Global Business Development team, responsible for delivering accurate investment data and analysis that supports product positioning, marketing, and sales efforts across all of Putnam Equity strategies. This position partners closely with CPMs, investments, sales, RFP Teams, marketing and compliance teams to analyze and interpret portfolio and benchmark data, develop and maintain high-quality reporting tools and marketing materials, and ensure timely, efficient distribution of information. The Client Portfolio Specialist responds to internal and external data demands for existing clients and prospects, providing tailored analytics and materials related to Putnam Equity strategies, and is responsible for reviewing all marketing materials for accuracy, consistency, and appropriateness prior to public distribution. This position requires a strong attention to detail in reviewing portfolio data for accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance and public equities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7
  • Strong analytical skills interpreting performance, benchmark, and portfolio data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Comfort working with large datasets and refining workflows.
  • Collaborative mindset and cross-functional working experience.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies and anomalies.

Responsibilities

  • You will review materials for accuracy and consistency.
  • You will collaborate with Client Portfolio Managers, investment, sales, RFP Teams, marketing, operations, and compliance teams.
  • You will improve data quality and processes.
  • You will analyze and validate performance, benchmark, attribution, and portfolio data.
  • You will support product positioning, sales efforts, and client reporting.
  • You will respond to internal and external data requests from clients and prospects.
  • You will deliver tailored analytics and materials on recurring and ad-hoc bases.
