The Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of medical device testing and consulting programs within Eurofins Medical Device Services. This role acts as a crucial link between Business Development and Operations, ensuring client objectives are met through well-executed programs that achieve high-quality outcomes and financial performance. The CPM oversees day-to-day portfolio performance, supports account growth, and drives structured project execution. The position requires strong project and operational experience, with increasing responsibilities in client relationships, financial oversight, and cross-functional leadership. The CPM is expected to organize complex environments, proactively manage risks, and contribute to both client success and business growth. Success in this role hinges on strong execution skills, developing business acumen, and coordinating across teams to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Business, or Life Sciences)
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in medical device, laboratory services, or consulting environment
  • Experience managing projects or programs across cross-functional teams
  • Exposure to client-facing roles, account coordination, or portfolio management
  • Strong project management skills across planning, execution, and tracking
  • Familiarity with structured methodologies and tools
  • Understanding of financial tracking, forecasting, and margin fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of medical device standards and frameworks such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 10993, 21 CFR 820
  • Organized and execution-focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative and able to influence across functions

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of account plans in collaboration with senior CPMs and Business Development.
  • Build working relationships with client stakeholders and support regular communication cadences.
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion across testing and consulting capabilities.
  • Contribute to pricing, scoping, and service packaging discussions with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned projects and programs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day program execution.
  • Translate technical and operational information across cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain portfolio tracking tools, timelines, risk logs, and action registers.
  • Coordinate with laboratory and consulting teams to ensure work progresses according to scope and timelines.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, risk, and quality across assigned portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal processes.
  • Manage project documentation including protocols, change orders, meeting minutes, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate client meetings, provide status updates, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Support client visits, audits, and operational reviews.
  • Track and manage project financials including purchase orders, invoices, accruals, and forecasting.
  • Support financial performance through scope management and proactive issue resolution.
  • Maintain visibility into backlog and support conversion of awarded work into revenue.
  • Contribute to financial reporting and forecasting accuracy.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure consistent communication across programs.
  • Support proposal development, scope definition, and onboarding of new work.
  • Identify and communicate risks, opportunities, and client feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Utilize CRM, LIMS, and BI tools to manage portfolio performance and reporting.
  • Support development and refinement of templates, dashboards, and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency and data visibility.
  • Contribute to SOP development and standardization efforts.
