About The Position

The Client Operations Services & Legal Project Management team thrives on changes in the legal market, focusing on process improvement, technology, data storytelling, client service, and legal practice. The manager's role is to provide guidance on matter management best practices and tools, ensuring efficient execution of client matters. This includes encouraging the use of work plans, budgeting, data analysis, and collaboration with lawyers and clients, particularly those with legal operations functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; J.D. or MBA preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or large complex organization.
• Exceptional client service orientation with financial acumen.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams and creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s practices, strategic priorities, and major clients.
• Lead client relationship and practice group support with the help of senior analysts and the Infrastructure team.
• Collaborate with partners and clients' legal department staff to design and implement processes that enhance client relationships.
• Develop and maintain practice-specific resources to help lawyers communicate cost and scope of legal work.
• Advocate for legal project management best practices including scoping, budgeting, and progress reporting.
• Establish a network with peers in various departments to design and deliver innovative solutions.
