The Client Onboarding Manager for the Non-Qualified team at Principal Financial Group is responsible for coordinating the onboarding process for Non-Qualified clients. This role involves applying project management methodologies, developing onboarding plans, and ensuring successful transitions while maintaining client relationships.   • Coordinate all aspects of a multi-process transition for Non-Qualified clients.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and advisors during the onboarding process.
  • Develop and implement onboarding plans, including plan design and financing strategies.
  • Build relationships with various internal departments to ensure successful onboarding.
  • Utilize creativity and product knowledge to solve problems and retain assets.
  • Negotiate solutions that meet customer and stakeholder goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions and maintain a solid understanding of competition and industry standards.
  • Handle change and process improvements effectively.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4+ years of related experience required.
  • Non-Qualified or Retirement experience preferred.
  • FINRA 6 and SIE will be required within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills required.
  • Accurate, organized, able to meet deadlines, and follow-through on tasks and campaigns.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within the organization and externally.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Extensive knowledge of plan and contract documents, manuals, and procedures.
  • Advanced business unit knowledge and technical skills including products and regulations.
  • Strong command of financing concepts, expense structures, and administrative platform.
  • Ability to balance working independently with working in a team environment.
  • Experience in financial services technology.
  • Project management certification or training.
