About The Position

This role manages a portfolio and will have a secondary focus on selling deeper into the customer relationship. Will have responsibility for a mid to large size portfolio including complex credits. Specific duties include: Grow revenue as directed by senior management to meet established goals by successfully prospecting new opportunities with existing clients and making appropriate referrals; Partner with other officers to effectively administer the management of assigned commercial banking relationships; Maintain portfolio by calling on existing customers to expand existing business, ensure excellent client relations & proper servicing of account(s), and ensure the portfolio’s credit quality; Provide recurring customer service to existing and prospective clients, which includes direct contact with customers either through participation in joint sales calls with other officers or direct correspondence with clients and perform various projects/tasks as needed with an emphasis on maintaining UMB TUCE at all times; Serve as a conduit for all product lines and match client needs with appropriate products; Proactively look for cross selling opportunities on bank products; Other duties as assigned. Must have Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience in a related field and 8+ years commercial banking or lending experience including credit underwriting; Expert knowledge of credit and understanding of underwriting; Strong financial acumen; Expert knowledge and understanding in how to identify and process maturing loans, line renewals, term loans that need to be extended, how loans can be restructured, approval process, change terms, etc.; Ability to interpret policies/procedures, loan contracts, and understanding of credit reports, financial statements and loan documents; Ability to be self-starter and show initiative; Strong communication skills (verbal & written); Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Ability to manage time effectively; Ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company and strong analytical skills Compensation Range: $99,750.00 - $214,370.00 The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors. In addition, this range does not encompass the full earning potential for this role. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience in a related field and 8+ years commercial banking or lending experience including credit underwriting
  • Expert knowledge of credit and understanding of underwriting
