As a Benefits Client Manager, you will serve as a key day-to-day service partner for large employer accounts, acting as a secondary point of contact. Your role involves delivering exceptional client support across benefits administration, renewals, and carrier communication. You will support Account Executives and collaborate closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to address service needs, resolve issues, and guide clients through each phase of the annual benefits cycle.

Requirements

  • Valid Minnesota Life/Health Insurance License
  • Minimum of 1 year large business group life/health Customers Service experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience using Applied EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Understand and actively work toward agency goals and strategies
  • Understand and actively round accounts by offering additional agency services
  • Engage with clients and process daily customer service requests, such as communicating claims or portal issues with carriers, assisting client in answering employee questions on enrollment, id cards, qualifying events, and working with team to research compliance questions
  • Process marketing and renewal activities as directed
  • Follow workflows for Renewal Process, Open Enrollment Process, New Business Process, and Mid-Year Review Process
  • Assist with client projects as directed by account executive or sales producer
  • Complete additional projects as developed and assigned by your supervisor or management
