About The Position

The Account Management position involves providing day-to-day client management on a general book of business. The role requires supporting the team in handling calls and emails, investigating questions and concerns from insured clients regarding billing, change requests, certificates, auto ID cards, and basic policy questions. Responsibilities also include processing incoming mail (postal, email, and/or faxes) for the team and distributing it accordingly, processing cancellation notices and non-payment issues, reviewing policies, sending change requests to companies, updating schedules and applications, and preparing for policy delivery. Additionally, the position involves delivering policies as directed by the Producer, requesting and preparing policy endorsements, issuing certificates of insurance, and processing client monthly reports and premium audits while delivering disputed audits. Following agency procedures for the client management system is also essential. In terms of New/Renewal Marketing, the role contributes to agency revenue and retention goals by adhering to established Commercial Lines policies and procedures. This includes reviewing expiration checklists, managing workflow per Commercial Lines Service Standards, coordinating market-ready submissions with the team, reviewing and rolling renewal submissions, creating Acord applications as directed, completing online rating with carriers for coverage placement, preparing finance agreements with finance companies, and reviewing and issuing renewal certificates, automobile identification cards, binders, claim reporting forms, and invoices for client distribution. Other duties may include accepting special assignments as directed by leadership and supporting agency directives in managing agency/carrier relationships. A general knowledge of agency carriers, the carrier/broker marketplace, and underwriting is necessary to effectively coordinate with insurance companies to address and solve client issues.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of Business Insurance customer service experience (required)
  • Experience with online quoting and overall knowledge of the commercial insurance marketplace (required)
  • Ability to work in a team setting (required)
  • Detail-oriented (required)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities (required)
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written (required)
  • Active Resident Property and Casualty insurance license (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Epic experience (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word and Excel (preferred)
  • Ability to navigate insurance carrier websites (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Accept special assignments as directed by leader
  • Support agency directives in effectively managing agency/carrier relationships
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of agency carriers, carrier/broker marketplace and underwriting to coordinate with insurance companies to address client issues and solve client problems
