About The Position

At BHDP, we design innovative and inspiring solutions in architecture, interior design, and experiential graphic design to create more informed design solutions for our clients and communities. The Client Leader is responsible for expanding BHDP’s presence within the Industrial market by developing strategic relationships with decision-makers, maintaining a healthy sales funnel through consistent sales behaviors, and achieving individual net revenue and profit goals. In addition, the Client Leader serves as a thought leader, bringing innovative perspectives to clients and to BHDP through industry engagement, expertise, and insight that strengthen our credibility and expand opportunities within the market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (NAAB accredited program preferred), Interior Design (CIDA accredited program preferred), or other relevant design, construction, or engineering related program.
  • 12+ years in the design and/or architecture industry
  • 5+ years of Industrial design experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service, with the ability to anticipate needs, communicate proactively, and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
  • Demonstrated initiative; sees challenges as opportunities
  • Demonstrated capability to delegate, coach, and raise team performance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration within a team
  • Models professional workplace behaviors: reliable follow-through, constructive feedback, and calm, solutions-oriented communication with co-workers and clients

  • Occasional lifting of 20 pounds or less
  • Ability to work in an open office environment
  • Ability to travel 25-30%

Responsibilities

  • Leads the client and project teams to secure net revenue and execute BHDP services that exceed the clients’ expectations while managing our efforts within targeted project performance metrics.
  • Serves as the advocate for the professional services provided by BHDP and holds the team accountable to a high bar of quality and client service.
  • Proactively provides perspective and strategic recommendations to clients, adding value to their business as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Achieves business plan goals and objectives related to Industrial growth, development of expertise, and visibility on a national stage.
  • Identifies and develops strategic targeted relationships with multiple new and existing clients in positions of financial authority to achieve individual sales stretch net revenue and profit goals in alignment with the Industrial Business Plan and budget.
  • Builds a business-leader network with key industry influencers to maintain a healthy sales funnel through commitment to weekly sales behaviors and ability to create meaningful connections.
  • Acts as the client relationship lead, establishing multiple high-level points of contact and developing an understanding of the client’s business goals and objectives.
  • Continuously learns and understands the client’s business and adjusts BHDP’s approach to maintain and grow broader and deeper relationships through delivering strong value.
  • Practices continuous learning to build and share strategically relevant expertise, develop a thought-leading voice in the Market/Business Segment to create credibility as an expert with new and existing clients.
  • Presents market-focused thought leadership at professional national organization conferences attended by existing and prospective clients.
