About The Position

The Highland, IN office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Client Intake Specialist with legal experience. The Client Intake Specialist is responsible for handling the intake process by organizing and tracking new client data and processing new matter memos. This is a role that services the firm on a national scale. Essential functions of this role include but are not limited to: conducting conflict checks on new clients for Attorneys in the local office, receiving and organizing case documents and correspondence required for the new matter process. If a new client is a litigation matter, creating litigation hold letters for attorney approval, processing new matter memos for the local office and entering them into the Aderant software application, verifying correct rates for clients by reviewing matter descriptions and practice areas. If new client, reviewing documentation as to new rates to be entered and entering new rates into the system, reviewing and confirming client billing addresses, contact information, and adjuster contact information, if applicable, and assigning new client matter numbers and uploading new matter memos and respective documents to iManage.

Requirements

  • Experience with LawTime, Aderant, or equivalent accounting software is preferred.
  • Experience in a legal/law firm environment.
  • Attention to detail, along with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proactive work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment.
  • Ability to adapt based on shifting priorities.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct conflict checks on new clients for Attorneys in the local office.
