About The Position

We are seeking a collaborative individual to support the diverse CDW Public Sector Business which includes CDWG's Federal, State, Local, Education, and Healthcare verticals. The Client Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth and deepening strategic relationships across CDW’s Public Sector customer base, including Federal, State & Local Government, Education (K-12 & Higher Ed), and Healthcare organizations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers, aligning CDW’s broad technology portfolio and services to mission-critical initiatives, compliance requirements, and budgetary constraints. The Public Sector Client Executive in partnership with the CDW Client Executive owns the full sales lifecycle, from account planning and prospecting through solution development, contract execution, and long-term account expansion.

Requirements

  • Live within a 30 mile radius of the Chicago area.
  • Experience selling to Federal, State & Local Government, Education, or Healthcare customers
  • Familiarity with major OEM and cloud partners
  • Strong executive presence and consultative selling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities with varying timelines and funding sources
  • Ability to work independently with considerable latitude in determining the best approach to sales and service tasks.
  • Maintain excellent rapport with existing clients while frequently interacting with new prospects to build a diverse customer base and increase sales.
  • Provide valuable input to sales management.
  • Understand that your actions impact the organization; failure to meet customer expectations may hinder crucial organizational sales goals and affect long-term client relationships.
  • 6+ years of experience in sales; technology or solution-based selling experience is encouraged but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience that provides comparable knowledge and job skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Technology Public Sector OEMs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a portfolio of OEM contracts within assigned territory or verticals
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue, expand wallet share, and increase customer retention
  • Identify net-new opportunities within existing accounts and targeted prospects
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and opportunity management in CRM systems
  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Drive complex, multi-year sales opportunities including hardware, software, cloud, security, and professional services
  • Position CDW’s value proposition in alignment with customer mission outcomes, modernization initiatives, and funding cycles
  • Navigate Public Sector procurement processes including RFPs, RFIs, cooperative contracts, and compliance frameworks
  • Facilitate quarterly business reviews with BU management and related supplier teams to enhance public sector account coverage.
  • Develop and strengthen executive-level customer relationships with our strategic and ISV partners, focusing on improving the customer experience with TD SYNNEX by incorporating more TD SYNNEX branded services and a renewed focus on solutions and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify sales leads for the field organization by recognizing opportunities, developing operational plans, and providing leadership to advocate TD SYNNEX capabilities at the customer and corporate management level, utilizing the assigned account team.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit owners to design corrective action plans that resolve identified issues and improve customer relations.
  • Coordinate action plan requirements with appropriate support groups (e.g., TD SYNNEX Services).
