We’re seeking a Client Development Leader who thrives on building meaningful relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and driving strategic growth. The Client Development Leader is responsible for developing and executing the annual strategic sales plan for their Area, aligning with Verdantas’ overall growth objectives. This role focuses on expanding client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating across departments to deliver integrated solutions. In this role, you'll develop and execute an annual strategic sales plan for the Area to grow revenue in alignment with defined growth target markets, including identifying and pursuing new clients and diversifying our services with existing clients. Work closely with Area Market Sector Leads to develop/deliver on Area sales strategy/execution. Consult with Division and Department Leads to provide the required support for pre-positioning and winning opportunities with existing clients. Engage in Go/No-Go for pursuits with Matrix of Authority (MOA) triggers and following Area-specific processes. Track Area trends, opportunities, competitors, and challenges for sales, and supervise outreach and sales activities. Maintain awareness of Market, Practice, and Shared Service-led initiatives to engage appropriate company resources in Area growth opportunities. Apply today and make a lasting impact.   • Develop a capture plan with seller/doers and client account managers for the top master service agreement (MSA) and on-call contracts (i.e., mining)
  • Timely support of Area seller/doers, client account managers, and/or clients through proactive business development tactics via emails, calls, and meetings
  • Be apprised of Area Market trends and open doors to new clients in focus Market sectors in collaboration with Area Market Sector Leaders
  • Complete reviews/approvals in accordance with Area-specific processes related to business development (e.g., Go/No-Go)
  • Understand the MOA and guide MOA approval requests, ensuring that area-specific approval processes are completed before initiating MOA approval requests
  • Manage pipeline/gaps/key sales (sales & pipe dashboard) with the support of the Pipeline Coordinator
  • Direct conference and sponsorship engagement with Area Market Sector Leaders and Division Leaders in line with the annual plan; represent Verdantas at key events
  • Consult with seller/doers and client account managers for Significant clients in the area to diversify our services in alignment with company offerings
  • Ensure National Market Sector Leaders are invited to Key Account calls within the Area
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and updates for top clients/pursuits and Area Significant clients
  • Collaborate with the Pipeline Coordinator and create awareness of the area sales forecast against the annual goal
  • Ensure the accuracy of the pipeline in collaboration with the Pipeline Coordinator
  • Communicate with Market Sector Leaders (Area/National) on strategic initiatives with new client targets
  • Monitor and drive the execution of sales
  • Contribute pipeline/sales updates to the monthly backlog/pipeline/budget forecast review for the Area
  • Organize and lead Area sales meetings. Present current sales data, identify gaps, and top opportunities in the next 6 months for pre-positioning and pursuit engagement
  • Meet with Division and/or Area Leaders to align focus/targets/pursuits
  • Meet with Area Market Sector Leaders to align focus/targets/pursuits
  • Present sales data/gap/pipeline in Area All Hands meetings
  • Manage Area data/major pursuits/Significant accounts for Client Development Leader /Area Market Sector Leader/Shared Services call for strategy alignment
  • Review business development conference and sponsorship plans in collaboration with the Division Leader and Area Market Sector Leaders for the next two quarters
  • Establish the Area sales plan in collaboration with Area leadership
  • Identify clients in core/diversify/develop categories and assign client account managers
  • Consult on Area sales goal with Area and Region leadership, and establish Market and client-specific goals aligned with the overall Area goal
  • Facilitate/support development of client account teams and annual plans (i.e., client growth map, capital plan, growth plan, etc.)
  • Lead pipeline data integrity review/update in collaboration with Pipeline Coordinator
  • Lead development of annual conference and sponsorship plans for the Area in collaboration with Division Leaders and Area Market Sector Leaders
  • Prepare a list of conferences/sponsorships that the Area will attend/support, and coordinate with Marketing and Communications on planning and needed support
  • Lead annual client forecasting and planning in collaboration with client account managers and sell/doers
  • Communicate corporate business development priorities to the Area, including strategic direction, Area sales goals, and client-specific goals
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for internal coordination and external engagement
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to foster trust and credibility with clients and colleagues
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align client development efforts with broader business objectives
  • Initiative & Drive: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and acting on opportunities
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating changing priorities, client needs, and market conditions
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset with a focus on shared success and knowledge sharing
  • Minimum of 50% travel via car and/or plane
