About The Position

The Client Coding Project Manager will oversee and optimize coding operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality outcomes for risk adjustment initiatives. This role involves managing audit processes, coordinating with internal and external teams, and implementing quality assurance benchmarks. You will play a critical role in supporting coding vendors and staff while identifying opportunities for process improvements. The position offers a chance to influence operational strategy, mentor team members, and contribute to a data-driven healthcare environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work setting, demonstrates strong leadership, and has a deep understanding of coding compliance and risk adjustment standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or 3–5 years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of coding experience in risk adjustment (ACA and MA).
  • Expert knowledge of risk adjustment coding standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong managerial, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with staff, leadership, and vendors.
  • Experience managing remote operations and distributed teams.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, productivity, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive quality assurance program for coding operations.
  • Monitor internal and vendor performance to ensure compliance and accuracy in risk adjustment coding.
  • Provide expertise on coding standards, compliance, and best practices across ACA and MA programs.
  • Assist in developing and delivering formal and informal training for staff, auditors, and coding vendors.
  • Analyze audit findings and report results to leadership with actionable recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective operational changes.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new auditors and team members.
