About The Position

As a Client Assistant, you will provide exceptional client service and operational support for one or more Financial Advisors following a wealth management or portfolio management business approach. You will be responsible for client onboarding coordination, which includes managing Financial Advisor(s) prospect pipeline, assisting with proposal generation, preparing new account paperwork, opening accounts, transitioning new assets to Baird, and establishing an ongoing communication/client service plan. You will gain knowledge of and leverage partnership with Baird's Corporate Resource Groups to provide the best wealth management solutions to clients. Your duties will include answering all incoming phone calls, handling inquiries from clients, prospective clients, and business associates, providing clients with quotes and current balances, scheduling client appointments, and ensuring business adherence with firm and financial industry regulatory policies. You will maintain the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system for Financial Advisor(s) and leverage the platform to manage client relationships through mailings, reporting, e-mail tracking, and more. Additionally, you may organize and coordinate seminars and client events, manage social media presence, initiate and complete all transactions required to service client accounts, enter security orders, and proactively review investment opportunities daily to notify Financial Advisor(s) to take action.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of administrative work experience.
  • Focus on excellent client service.
  • Expected to study for and obtain the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam and Series 7 and 66 licensures within 18 months of hire.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize workflow.
  • Good analytical and critical problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; not required.
