About The Position
Christensen Group, founded in 1952 and 100% employee-owned, is the largest locally owned, independent insurance and employee benefits agency in Minnesota. As a Client Advocate, you will play a crucial role in providing direct support to producers and internal team members, focusing on excellent customer service and managing daily client business insurance needs. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in the insurance industry, with opportunities to grow into more strategic roles such as Client Manager or Account Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of core duties including issuing certificates of insurance, processing audits, handling change requests and endorsements, managing incoming mail, conducting policy check-ins, and performing billing functions. You will also be expected to maintain a culture of employee ownership by contributing time and support to agency and carrier events that strengthen our workplace culture. A general knowledge of agency carriers, the carrier/broker marketplace, and underwriting will be essential for coordinating with insurance companies to address and resolve client issues effectively. The Client Advocate role provides foundational knowledge and skills for a long career in insurance, allowing you to create your own career path as a generalist or specialist in various types of insurance coverages and needs. It typically takes 18-24 months to fully learn the Client Advocate role before advancing to a new position or role within the company.
