About The Position

The Client Advocate Supervisor is a leader who helps shape the heart of the client experience at Milestones. In this role, you will oversee and support a team of Client Advocates, ensuring that every client is cared for with compassion, safety, and excellence. This isn’t just about scheduling shifts or managing workflows — it’s about guiding a team that walks alongside clients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their healing journey. By modeling calm in crisis, fostering dignity in daily routines, and championing trauma-informed care, you will directly influence the quality of care and the environment of safety and hope our clients depend on.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience supervising or leading a team
  • Familiarity with and experience in adult residential treatment settings and/or 12-Step/recovery processes preferred
  • Strong conflict resolution and crisis de-escalation skills
  • Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Client Advocate team by providing training, coaching, real-time feedback, and regular performance evaluations that strengthen skills and ensure consistent delivery of client care
  • Create and manage staff schedules including shift coverage, on-call calendars, flex requests, and payroll/time clock approvals to maintain seamless operations day and night
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new Client Advocates while building a strong culture of professionalism, accountability, and support
  • Ensure trauma-informed client care by collaborating closely with Clinical and Operations leadership and modeling best practices for compassionate engagement
  • Step in and cover shifts when needed to maintain CARF-accredited staffing levels and to demonstrate frontline leadership in action
  • Facilitate psycho-educational groups, 12-Step/recovery meetings, and community gatherings to support clients’ treatment experience and ensure their voices are heard
  • Support client engagement and healing experiences by coordinating meaningful touches such as birthday celebrations, holiday events, and community rituals that foster connection
  • Monitor and ensure client safety through room checks, roll calls, safety drills, supervision checks, and crisis interventions when necessary
  • Partner with nurses and clinicians to handle client intakes, store and distribute medication appropriately, and provide accurate daily updates on client needs and concerns
  • Oversee documentation and reporting, ensuring shift logs, client records, and incident reports are accurate, timely, and communicated to the right stakeholders
  • Assist with client transportation and supervision, ensuring safe travel for appointments, activities, and community outings
  • Model excellent communication and teamwork by maintaining professional, respectful, and clear dialogue across all levels of the organization
