Our Newest Opportunity: The Client Advocate is responsible for assisting clients’ employees with benefit plan questions and/or help with issue resolution. The CA serves as the direct point of contact for these employees and handles incoming phone calls and emails as needed. They will work under the direction of the Account Manager and collaboratively as part of an internal team.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Effective relationship builder
  • Proficiency with computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt easily to change and a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to effectively manage high volumes of work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • Previous experience working in insurance/employee benefits, preferred
  • Valid California Life and health license, required within 90 days
  • License required after 90 days

  • Previous experience working in insurance/employee benefits, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients and their employees with various benefit questions which may include:
  • Finding physicians
  • Understanding benefit plans
  • Reviewing and resolving claims
  • Resolving transition of care issues
  • Assistance with authorization/approval issues
  • Confirming the member cost-share under their plan
  • Completing annual benchmark reports
  • Completing annual employee survey reports
  • Coordinate client events such as health fairs and wellness meetings
