As a Client Advisory Services Manager, you’ll serve as a controller‑level advisor to a portfolio of diverse clients, owning the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while providing high‑level financial insight that drives business growth. You’ll blend hands‑on accounting expertise with strategic advisory, guiding clients through forecasting, internal controls, financial planning, and decision‑ready reporting. This is a chance to influence the financial direction of multiple organizations while helping build and strengthen a rapidly growing practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred including the 5th year requirement completed or a combination of education and directly related work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience providing a full spectrum of progressive accounting or controllership experience including hands-on experience managing a variety of projects.
  • You must pass a background check that includes a credit check at any time to remain eligible for this position.

  • Active CPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strong judgment across diverse client environments, ensuring high-quality financial management and strategic guidance for clients.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; review and approve financial statements, management reports, and other key financial deliverables (i.e. budgets, forecasts, timeline, compliance and internal controls risks consulting).
  • Prepare, analyze, and guide clients through financial plans, forecasts, and cash flow models to support informed business decisions.
  • Interpret financial results, trends, and variances to deliver meaningful recommendations that drive operational and strategic improvements.
  • Identify accounting, compliance, and internal control risks; maintain accounting policies and procedures; and enhance internal workflows and controls.
  • Serve as liaison with clients, auditors, tax preparers, and lenders while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Oversee and manage engagement discovery, planning, staffing, budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes across multiple concurrent clients.
  • Provide leadership to remote and hybrid teams, including coaching, feedback, workload review, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead onboarding of new clients, support system implementation, and continuously improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
  • Manage engagement billings and scope alignment, identify cross-selling and advisory opportunities, and contribute to proposals and practice development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shareholder in-charge of CAS to support the needs of the department organization.
