About The Position

BMW of Southpoint is seeking a dedicated individual to sell new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves meeting dealership sales goals, greeting customers, determining their vehicle preferences, explaining features, and demonstrating vehicle operations. The salesperson will compute and quote sales prices, complete necessary paperwork, arrange for vehicle delivery and registration, and engage in business development while maintaining customer satisfaction index (CSI) at or above company standards. The position requires maintaining an organized and safe work area, participating in required training, and adhering to company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the automotive field.
  • Experience of up to 3 years in sales or customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Meets dealership sales goals.
  • Greets customers and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive.
  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.
  • Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
  • Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including preparing sales slip or sales contract.
  • Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle.
  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment.
  • Engages in business development.
  • Addresses customer concerns.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations.
