Job Summary The Client Account Executive is responsible for driving growth and retention within customer accounts. This role focuses on consultative selling, including cross-selling and upselling ancillary products, guiding customers to the right Drake Software solutions, and supporting proactive initiatives designed to improve long-term customer satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, comfortable with sales conversations, and able to clearly explain product value while building trusted relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience selling products or services in a B2B or B2C environment
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Prior experience with Drake Software or other tax software products
  • Familiarity with the tax and accounting industry

Responsibilities

  • Drive ancillary cross-sell and upsell opportunities across customer accounts, including but not limited to: Drake Accounting (DAS) Drake Portals TaxBook RightWorks Workflow
  • Support enrollment-based sales goals for products such as: Bank Products DrakePay Tax Protection Plus
  • Assist customers in selecting the most appropriate core product packages, including Drake Tax Online and other Drake Software solutions
  • Engage in proactive outreach initiatives designed to improve customer retention and long-term account value
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for customers, addressing questions and identifying opportunities to better meet their needs
  • Accurately document customer interactions and opportunities in CRM tools
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
