About The Position

The Client Access Team works to ensure quality customer service in a professional and efficient manner to facilitate the care of internal and external AKBH consumers. Members of the Team serve as the first point of contact with AKBH and are responsible for ensuring efficient client flow and a welcoming environment. Other duties include client scheduling, registration, check-ins, phone inquiries, and insurance verification.

Requirements

• You have at least five years of medical office experience or experience in a supervisory or lead position
• You have the necessary skills to work with a population that can be severely mentally ill
• You can reason and problem-solve in difficult, potentially dangerous situations and/or effectively handle difficult people.
• You can work productively with minimal supervision.
• You have the ability to meet deadlines and follow up on pending issues.
• You can serve as an effective team member and leader.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer prior experience working with data entry and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of the day-to-day activities of assigned Client Access Team members.
• Provide initial and ongoing administrative and customer service training coaching, and assistance to Team members.
• Participates in hiring, onboarding, and performance development for Team members including preparing and delivering evaluations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions.
• Provides support to Team members with problem solving, customer complaints, performance errors, process improvement, conflict, or confrontation through the collaboration and guidance of the Client Access Manager.
• Oversees assigned staffing and employee schedules to ensure proper coverage and that assistance is available and sufficient to meet the needs of each clinic.
