Clean Harbors is looking for a self-motivated Account Manager in West Sacramento, CA, responsible for initiating sales in the region with a focus on new accounts, driving leads, and growing underpenetrated accounts. The individual will work in conjunction with various departments to provide product insight to clientele regarding essential lines of business. The role emphasizes hunting new business while maintaining current accounts.

  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers about their industry.
  • Research prospective organizations to identify the right customer stakeholders.
  • Coach customer stakeholders and build consensus for Clean Harbor's solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for Corporate Accounts.
  • Deepen existing business relationships and increase account satisfaction.
  • Propose, negotiate, and close profitable revenue opportunities.
  • Communicate account strategy to the marketing team and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction to line management and field sales teams.
  • Evaluate customer needs and ensure appropriate service/product delivery.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related fields.
  • 5-7+ years in sales and/or sales management for a large distributed, service-focused sales organization.
  • Track record of developing and executing sales strategy.
  • Experience in B2B markets and complex selling processes.
  • Proficient in oral and written communications.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, WebEx presentations, and Salesforce.com or similar CRM application.
  • Self-starter and autonomous goal achiever.
  • Strong analytical skills and project planning/management experience.
  • Ability to influence and cultivate strong internal relationships.
  • Experience in strategic and conceptual selling.
  • Strong executive presence and political savvy.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
