This position involves working independently to provide various clerical and technical services within an assigned Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Key responsibilities include processing physician's orders, scheduling patient tests and appointments, and coordinating with other facilities for transfers. The role also requires monitoring telemetry rhythms for pertinent changes in fetal or cardiac rhythms, interpreting life-threatening arrhythmias, and monitoring blood pressure and oxygen saturation levels, reporting changes to the appropriate nurse. Additionally, the Clerk/Tech will record patient information, assist with basic patient daily living needs (such as personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, transferring, and eating), act as a communication hub for customer service, perform accurate computer operations, and manage admission, discharge, and transfer information, as well as billing/charge entry.
