SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK Receives incoming material and prepares materials for shipment while following shipping practices and procedures and transportation routing, schedules and requirement
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of FAA and Regulatory requirements
- Microsoft office basics
- Skill to Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Apply concepts of basic math
- Proficiently use Syteline Item Maintenance, SRO maintenance, Incident Maintenance, Inventory, Purchasing screens and BI reporting
- Must maintain a valid state driver's license
- Successfully complete forklift training
Responsibilities
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Determines method of shipment
- Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers
- Follows shipping practices/procedures and transportation routing schedules and requirements
- Operates a forklift
- Maintains a safe and audit-ready work area
- Works within guidelines of Department of Transportation for hazardous shipments
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Supervises the Shipping/Receiving staff and oversees daily work during absence of the Supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned
