Initially under close supervision, you learn tasks related to a variety of documents we process. People normally advance to the higher level after gaining experience and achieving proficiency in this role. Clerk-Recorder Assistant II: This is a fully qualified position. Under general supervision, you are responsible for performing a full range of assigned duties requiring knowledge of recorder law, as well as the processing and filing of official documents.

Responsibilities

  • Learn specialized clerical duties including documentation and processes.
  • Perform a full range of assigned duties under general supervision.
  • Process and file official documents.
  • Provide support to the Clerk-Recorder's department.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to completion of twelfth grade.
  • One year of clerical experience at a level equivalent to the position of Office Assistant II with the County of Nevada or an Associate of Arts/Sciences degree from an accredited college or university.
  • For Level II: One year of experience as a Clerk-Recorder Assistant I or one year of experience with the Fair Political Practices Commission.
  • For Level II: Associate of Arts/Science degree from an accredited college or university plus one year of general clerical experience.
