This is a full-time midshift position, working 13:30-22:00, 5 days a week for 8 hours a day. The role requires working every third weekend and one minor and one major holiday. The Clerk/Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood by capillary or venipuncture, properly labeling tubes, and delivering them to the Lab according to Laboratory Policy and Procedure. This individual maintains the Order Monitor and organizes workload with phlebotomy staff and other applicable hospital personnel. Front Office responsibilities include processing extra tubes, centrifuging, and proper storage. The role also involves loading specimens onto the Roche Modular Pre-Analytics (MPA) system, answering telephones, and responding to inquiries from hospital personnel, visitors, or others. The position participates in training procedures as directed by the supervisor.
