About The Position

The Clerk – Parts Room position is responsible for maintaining the supply and inventory of production maintenance spare parts in the parts room. This role involves identifying and sourcing machine parts from outside vendors, comparing costs for reasonable pricing, verifying receipts of ordered parts, tracking and approving invoices, conducting inventory of the parts room, and assisting in parts kitting for planned maintenance work orders. The position also requires filling in for the Maintenance Planner and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Ability to demonstrate oral/written communication and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with all functional team members
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Effective technical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and organize
  • Ability to show initiative and innovation
  • Ability to work with all functional team members

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and sources machine parts from outside vendors
  • Compares costs for most reasonable pricing
  • Verifies receipts of ordered parts
  • Tracks and approves invoices
  • Fills in for Maintenance Planner
  • Conducts inventory of parts room
  • Assists in parts kitting for planned maintenance work orders
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
