About The Position

The Clerk for the Parts Room will work the 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a preference for flexible hours. The position involves various responsibilities including stocking parts, creating new locations for parts as necessary, and maintaining an organized workspace. The clerk will be responsible for tagging all rebuilt motors and gearboxes, updating inventory in the computer system, and ensuring that bin locations are readable and usable. Additionally, the clerk will check the outside of the shop and behind the warehouse for received items, run reports, and post them in the shop. Inventory control is a key aspect of this role, which includes checking receiving reports against inventory counts, monitoring the assigned area, distributing parts accurately, and keeping the area clean. The clerk will also report any damaged tools or tools needing repair to the shift supervisor and complete random spot checks as well as other assigned duties as requested by the supervisor. Honesty, focus, and excellent attendance are essential for this role, and some weekend work is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Computer literate
• Ability to perform heavy lifting
• Must be honest and focused
• Excellent attendance required
• Background check required

Responsibilities

• Stock parts and create new location if necessary
• Tag all rebuilt motors and gear boxes
• Update computers with inventory information
• Maintain readable bin locations
• Replace unusable bin containers as needed
• Check outside of shop and behind warehouse for received items
• Run reports and post in shop
• Control inventory and check receiving reports with inventory count
• Monitor assigned area
• Distribute parts and record accurately
