CLERK / PARK KEEPER PAY PLAN: 107 - $ 29,926 .00 minimum salary Purpose of Classification Performs clerical work in support of assigned park, park programs or function. Duties include greeting park guests, providing the public with information of the park and its amenities. Positions in this class perform routine data entry and identify needed corrective actions to resolve discrepancies; answer questions; and maintain documents and records. Essential Functions The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Provides customer service to the general public; collects monies for general services, concession rental, daily conservation fees on a daily basis and verifies credit card transactions; summarizes details of transactions on individual ledgers; assesses cost and fees. Directs complaints to proper division manager; provides the public with information regarding the amenities of the parks, park hours, fees and park policies. Performs periodic sand removal from sidewalks and parking areas on an as needed basis; performs duties associated with that of maintenance such as upkeep of grounds, hauling picnic tables and trash barrels, removing trash and garbage. Performs repairs on all facilities within the park, including Pavilion restrooms, mechanical equipment, sewage compost facility; performs bi-weekly beach cleaning, and rake sea weed from the beach. Balances cash receipts and reconcile tills; inputs payments and verifies credit card transactions; summarizes details of transactions on individual ledgers. Prepares reports of daily receipts and deposits; copies and/or distributes reports; establishes and maintains both automated and manual accounting records and files; and performs record retention tasks as dictated by County policy. Provides assistance and information to employees, managers, vendors, citizens, local businesses, and/or and other interested parties regarding assigned park functions; serves as liaison between supervisors, vendors, and other departments in regards to the park. Explains policies and procedures. Additional Functions Performs other related duties as required.
