About The Position

We are looking for a Clerk Inventory Control Store Return associate  to join our Bakersfield, CA team. In this role, you'll work to spearhead diagnostics and maintain machinery to ensure safety and productivity in the warehouse. In our fast-paced, fun, team-oriented environment, your ability to lead projects and provide departmental training to your peers will make you an instrumental part of the team. Compensation and Hours:  Starting pay is $19.29 per hour - $22.18 per hour  Potential to earn overtime  Position will be 1st shift from 6:30am- 2:30pm (MON-FRI)

Requirements

  • Distribution Center Experience 1+ years
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Organized, detail-oriented individual, capable of working on various tasks/projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mid-level understanding of the PKMS Warehouse Management System, including Inventory, Shipping and Receiving functions.
  • Able to work in a team environment, and autonomously to perform individual tasks.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Heavy lifting, fast paced work, continuous bending and stooping.

Responsibilities

  • Assures administrative duties are completed in an accurate and timely matter conveyed to the leadership team.
  • Assures partnership with leadership on continuous improvement initiatives as well as reporting.
  • Assures training is conducted in the approved branded fashion to maintain consistency in learning and development of trainees.
  • Adheres to and assists in the administration of all Safety policies and procedures, including housekeeping and accident prevention.
  • Assists leadership in tracking departmental data related to specific metrics to drive performance.
  • Communicate with finance teams inventory totals shipped and remaining on hand for returnable damages to vendors, discard and mis-mate shipments.
  • Responsible for coordinating and providing day-to-day reporting to management team for unsalable returns from the stores.
  • Performs physical counts and monitors inventory levels to maintain accuracy Prior to shipping product back to the vendor.
  • Navigate through a warehouse management system (RF) to successfully and efficiently execute daily inventory tasks.
  • Provides support in driving continuous improvement of processes.
  • Responsible for the integrity, accuracy of shipping returns to the vendor
  • When business needs dictate, the ability to perform all Inventory Control Functions: including: cycle counting, storage disciplines and product rotations
  • Assist in inventory control training as needed.
  • Leads by example, by abiding by all company policies and procedures.
