The Clerk II (Nursing Education Clerk) performs moderately complex work and reports directly to the Nurse Educator. Provides technical, clerical, and administrative support services to the Nurse Educator and the Infection Control Practitioner. The Nursing Education Clerk routinely performs the following tasks within well-defined guidelines: data entry and retrieval, prepares and files routine reports, collects and organizes statistical data, drafts written summaries, develops/revises forms, as well as other related work as assigned. Develops, utilizes and/or evaluates various data bases effectively. The Nursing Education Clerk serves as a liaison between nursing and other departments/disciplines and the community, and does so in a positive, customer service-oriented way. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. This position may also be eligible to earn additional pay for work performed on maximum security locations.
