PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 1215 WEST LEWIS ST PASCO, WASHINGTON 99301 PHONE (509) 543-6700 Open Date: 02/26/2026 Application Deadline/Close Date: 03/05/2026 at 4:00pm POSITION: Clerk I LOCATION: Reynolds Middle School HOURS: 7.00/day, Monday - Friday 180-day calendar SALARY: $22.32 - $24.61 Salary Schedules AA Degree - $0.50/hour extra BA Degree $0.75/hour extra NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Composes documents to communicate information within building and district personnel, the public, state officials, etc. Maintain various records, schedules, files, and rosters. Monitor financial related information related to class size, attendance and substitute time for reimbursement. Provide information or directions to inquiries from staff, students, parents or the public. Administer first aid and medication to students if needed to meet their health care needs. Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues. Maintain inventory of office supplies to ensure availability of required items. Distribute documents and materials to appropriate staff, students and/or parents. Answer phones including support for other departments, taking messages, responding to voicemails and/or forwarding calls. Perform clerical duties to assist in the daily activities for the building and administrator(s). Assists with supervision of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent, required. Prior job-related experience preferred but not required. Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish), preferred but not required. Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of general office equipment such as computers, copiers, laminators, telephones, scanners, paper cutters, book covering materials, and/or step ladders. Knowledge in proper use of English in both written and verbal forms, use of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Maintain detailed and accurate records. Skill in operating standard office equipment including basic computer applications. Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods. Understand and conduct verbal and written instruction. REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING: Passing score on district administered clerical test. Keyboard accuracy of at least 45 words per minute (WPM) on district administered typing test. Requirements
