About The Position

The Clerical Office Assistant role at Aston Carter is designed for a detail-oriented individual responsible for managing various clerical tasks within an office environment. This position focuses on sorting paperwork, scanning and copying documents, and ensuring that all paperwork is properly prepared before scanning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, possess strong organizational skills, and have excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook.
  • Ability to properly handle important documents.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 2+ years of experience in an office assistant role or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Some data entry knowledge/experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Administrative experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sort paperwork and scan/copy documents using Canon Copier machines.
  • Prepare manifests, Bill of Lading, and Labor Sheets by removing staples, paperclips, and separating copies.
  • Scan and upload important documents into the system.
  • Utilize tracking systems to gather information regarding hazardous waste drums and enter data into Salesforce.
  • Sign and organize manifests and other paperwork.
  • Assist with mail flow and ensure organization.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
